Some basic rules about dos and don'ts for character creation:
No Special Powers: The majority of characters in this roleplay are (mostly) normal duelists, although possibly quite eccentric, violent, rude, etc. A character can be a psychopathic murderer, however one with psychic powers or the ability to cast magic missile is not allowed. Some villains might be allotted some supernatural prowess, but this is a dream for dueling, not all-out magical warfare, which is what a dream full of super-human duelists would likely end up as. As silly as it is, we must solve our problems with fists, guns, or if all else fails: a children's card game.
No affiliation with canon characters: Your character should not be an old friend of Yuugi or an ex-girlfriend of Jounouchi; these characters are not planned to be present in the RP, as to not overshadow the importance of the players' own original characters.
No meta-gaming, net-decking, abuse of the ban-list, or imbalanced Trump Cards: Player's decks should focus on a set them for that character and cards which support that theme and can make for an interesting game. Decks should not be built solely around winning every game, but around having fun. Custom Trump Cards should be very well thought-out, balanced, and have interesting effects; they should not be cards created only to make one-turn-kill or first-turn-kill combos. Furthermore, players should not stack their deck with traditional cards in order to power their deck further without good thematic reasoning.
In certain instances, characters may be allowed to run more of a card which is normally limited or semi-limited, if it is done for good thematic reason and does not overpower the deck. However, This is not something you should automatically try to do without previous admin approval.
Deck Size: A duelist's deck must contain at least 40 cards, and no more than 60. However, it is strongly recommended that players try to stick as close to 40 as possible to improve their deck's flow and prevent drawn out matches.
Furry Characters: For now, anthropomorphic furry characters are allowed, while feral characters are not. The creation of human characters is certainly recommended, but as to not ostracize players whom might wish to adapt their usual fursona into the Yu-Gi-Oh! universe, furries will be allowed.
No normal hairstyles: This is Yu-Gi-Oh! The more amazing and outrageous your hairstyle, the more powerful your character will be (this is of course a joke).
