These are the basic rules for conducting yourself in the Battle City III Dream (and forum).
1. Do not post sexually explicit text or link to sexually explicit websites, pictures, etc.
Jokes of a sexual nature are not considered this kind of offense, but use your judgment; there are kids around at times, and there do not need to be links to pornography or cyber-sex posts floating around.
If you want to share such things with your 18+ year old friends, do so in whispers or private messages.
2. Be mature and non-insulting.
Think about the things you say and if they might insult someone or hurt their feelings prior to saying it. If you say something that does result in a bad reaction from someone else, then simply apologize and explain it was not your intention, and remember it for the future.
Insulting other people for their taste in games, music, clothing, dueling format preference, deck-theme, opinions etc will not be tolerated. That being said, people should also try not to take things personally and not let words get under their skin.
If there is a problem between you and someone else that is going to escalate to a destructive level, then contact a dream mod for help dealing with it.
3. No trying to disrupt the dream in general.
Spamming, being rude, attempting to break parts of the dream and other disruptive behavior. Use your better judgment; if you think you shouldn't do something, you probably shouldn't.
This also includes disrupting an RP session with excessive OOC chatter, spamming, or intentionally bad/disruptive RP.
4. Pertaining to Dueling Formats
Duelists in Battle City III are open to duel with whatever format they wish, whether it is Traditional, Advanced, OCG, OCG with no ban-list, etc. If you duel outside of these rule-sets (such as with custom cards), you'll need to make sure with your opponent it is alright.
However, if you have a preference (such as only wanting to duel advanced players), it is suggested you make sure your opponent is playing that format before you continue onto your duel.
If you realize your opponent is playing a format you dislike, you may not declare that they were cheating by using "illegal cards" or anything of the sort; if you stop the duel, you are considered to have surrendered / forfeited.
Consequences
Players who cause trouble or break rules will be given an initial warning based on the severity of their disruption. Upon the second severe disruption, the player will be suspended from the dream for the remainder of the day. The third disruption will be met with a suspension of a week. The fourth and final disruption will result in either a suspension of a determined time, or a permanent ban from the dream.
Other things may be added to this list as needed, but I don't plan on any "don't step on the grass" rules in here.
